Ca’ Scarpa

Exhibition space, for Benetton Research and Studies Foundation, designed by Tobia Scarpa. Not just a museum but a 360-degree integration of noble but “poor” materials such as iron and poplar plywood with matte and glossy finishes that, when communicating with each other, acquire an unexpected richness. Solid lime wood display panels with glossy lacquered details supported by heavy black iron carpentry finished with a little natural wax layer. Armchairs, tables, display furniture and bookcases with a simple, clean, elegant design and perfectly inserted in the context.
